SSL Encryption
Whenever a website visitor places an order through our shopping cart, we use a technology called Secure Socket
Layer (SSL) to ensure that your credit card number is always sent
over the Internet safely. Our site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. We use 128-bit SSL to encrypt transaction data.
The following is the Secure Certificate installed on our secure pages.
Safe "Key" or "Lock"
We use iframes on our website shopping cart for easier navigation,
more efficient page updates, and to increase speed on our site.
SSL encryption is placed on those frames where the shopping cart collects user information and credit
card numbers. Since our home page and menus are not involved in this
process, we do not use SSL encryption on these pages. Browsers
don't show the safe "key" or "lock" for the entire browser screen
unless all frames in the window are safe. Therefore, our secure checkout page that uses iframes and displays shopping cart pages (Secure Checkout)
are SSL secured and the information that you provide during the shopping process is encrypted.
SSL Verification
To verify that a
frame is SSL-encrypted, please do the following:
Internet
Explorer: Right-click the mouse within the frame and select
Properties. In the Properties window, the Connection line will list
what type of encryption is being used. Frames that are not encrypted
will read "Not Encrypted", while encrypted pages will show the type
of encryption, such as "SSL 3.0, RC4 with 40 bit encryption (Low);
RSA with 512 bit exchange". For further, detailed information about
the security, click on the Certificates button.
Netscape
Navigator: Right-click the mouse within the frame and select View
Frame Info. In the Page Info window, the Security line will list
what type of encryption is being used. Frames that are not encrypted
will read "This is an insecure document that is not encrypted and
offers no security protection", while encrypted pages will show the
type of encryption, such as "This is a secure document that uses a
medium-grade encryption key suited for U.S. export (RC4-40, 128 bit
with 40 secret)". For further, detailed information about the
security, read the Certificate information.
